ABSTRACT: A method of producing a microwave filter comprising a YlG sphere and a source of a pre-polarizing magnetic field whose resonant frequency is a predeter- mined function of the temperature. A reference YlG sphere is introduced with a predetermined orientation into the filter structure and by changing the magnetic field the resonant frequency YlG sphere is introduced into the resonator structure and this YlG sphere is rotated until the resonant fre- quency is again equal to the predetermined value, where- after the YlG sphere is locked in position.
