A B S T R A C T A method of fabricating flexible curtains of any size, and apparatus for implementing the method. Apparatus for fabricating a flexible curtain which is stiffened at regular intervals by reinforcing bars (9), the curtain being of the type suitable for constituting a goods-handling door, comprises a welding station (5) which is movable along three orthogonal axes, a table (1) having a table top (11) optionally fitted with at least one series of grooves (a, b, c, d, e, f; a, g, h, i, f) which are equidistant, and parallel to one of the displacement axes of the welding station (5), together with at least two retaining members (7, 7') which are perpendicular to said grooves, and at least one of said members being a moving member. The invention also relates to a method which the apparatus can be used to implement, and to curtains manufactured by the method.
