ABSTRACT A method of fabricating separation nozzle elements is disclosed in which first a main body with a deflection groove and a unit consisting of nozzle and skimmer plates and equipped with reinforcements is produced, after which the main body and the unit are joined and immovably intercon- nected by means of shoulders confronting each other so that the free ends of the nozzle and skimmer plates together with the deflection groove con- stitute a separating structure with close tolerances consisting of the feed nozzle and the extraction ducts for the fractions separated, with con- stant cross sections over their lengths. The free ends of the nozzle and/or skimmer plates together with the ends of the unit remote from the separating structure and serving as shoulders for engagement with the main body are milled together so as to show bright surfaces, and also the deflection groove and the shoulder areas of the main body confronting the unit are milled bright together. The milling tools used together in a working step to process the unit and main body, respectively, are set with half of the tolerances with respect to their mutual distances as are required by the separating structure.
