METHOD OF FABRICATING SOLAR CELL MODULES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Referring particularly to Figure 3, a solar cell module is fabricated by placing an array of solar cells (1) in a suitable mold (8) having a bottom surface, an entry port (15) and an exit port (16). A light trans- parent superstrate (5) effectively serves as the top for the mold (8) and is placed over the array of solar cells (1) in the mold (8). The superstrate (5) is spaced from the array such that the superstrate (5) does not come in contact with the top surface of any of the cells (1) or interconnectors of the solar cell array. Clamp means (9) are provided to hold the superstrate (5) in position while encapsulant is pumped into the mold under pressure through the inlet port (15) in an amount sufficient to fill the mold (8). Thereafter the assembly can be placed in an oven and heated for a time sufficient to cure the encapsulant and bond the materials to each other.
