A server find process by which a user enters a search term for a document attachment into his/her mobile communication device. If no occurrences of the term are found on the device, the device then prompts the user to initiate a server side search. If the user accepts, then the server searches the document attachment and returns the first section of text that contains the search term to the device for viewing by the user. This process can then be repeated until the server find feature reports that no further instances of the search string have been found on the server.
Processus de recherche dans un serveur, suivant lequel un utilisateur saisit un terme de recherche relatif à un document joint dans son appareil de communication mobile. Si le terme n'est pas trouvé dans l'appareil, ce dernier invite l'utilisateur à lancer une recherche côté serveur. Si l'utilisateur accepte, le serveur cherche le document joint et renvoie le premier segment du texte qui contient le terme de recherche au dispositif pour que l'utilisateur le voit. Le processus peut être répété jusqu'à ce que la fonction de recherche du serveur indique qu'aucune autre occurrence de la chaîne de recherche n'a été relevée sur le serveur.
