METHOD OF FORMING COLORED OXIDE FILM ON ALUMINUM OR ALUMINUM ALLOY MATERIAL Abstract of the Disclosure A method of forming a colored oxide film on an aluminum or aluminum alloy material by electrolyzing the aluminum or aluminum alloy material used as one or each of the elect- rodes in an electrolytic bath containing a metallic salt while applying a pulse voltage whose polarity is reversed at every predetermined conduction time. The aluminum or aluminum alloy material may also be one that has an oxide film previously formed thereon.
