A method of preparing a composition of a reagent, which method comprises the steps of (i) forming empty liposomes; (ii) mixing the liposomes from step (i) with a sugar solution and a reagent; and (iii) drying the mixture from step (ii). The compositions will generally comprise less than 10 % w/v sucrose. The method can be used to form small liposomes with high entrapment efficiency. It is particularly useful in the production of pharmaceuticals.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de préparation d'une composition comprenant un réactif consistant à: (i) former des liposomes vides; (ii) les mélanger avec une solution sucrée et un réactif; et (iii) faire sécher le mélange ainsi obtenu. Ladite composition comprend normalement moins de 10 % de sucrose du poids de lipide. Ledit procédé, qui peut servir à former de petits liposomes à grande efficacité de piégeage, est particulièrement utile pour la production de produits pharmaceutiques.
