The improved method of fusing synthetic monofilament tufts to synthetic sponge material is disclosed whereby the filament tufts are set into a container-like molded base component which allows for greater support within the flexible cellular structure of conventional cellulose and polyurethane spongeware compositions thus resulting in greater resistance to tuft removal.

La présente invention a pour objet une méthode améliorée pour fusionner des noeuds de fils synthétiques monofilament à un matériau d'éponge synthétique dans laquelle les noeuds de filaments sont contenus à l'intérieur d'une base moulée assurant un meilleur support à l'intérieur de la structure cellulaire flexible des compositions de cellulose et de polyuréthanne utilisées dans la fabrication des éponges synthétiques classiques, ce qui permet d'obtenir une meilleure résistance à l'arrachement des noeuds.
