Method of generating energy from a gas flow, called the initial flow, comprising water vapour (H2O), said method comprising the deoxidation of at least some of said water vapour (H2O) by passing said initial gas flow through a layer of material at high temperature, called the thermal base layer, essentially comprising high-temperature carbon, said deoxidation making it possible to obtain a first gas flow comprising hydrogen (H2O) obtained by the reaction of said water vapour (H2O) with said carbon elements. The initial flow may be a gas flow that has served for the treatment of a charge of wood (B1). The hydrogen (H2) obtained constitutes an energy source and may then be used to produce energy by means such as a gas boiler, a gas turbine, a fuel cell, a gas-powered engine, a turboalternator (TAV), etc.

Procédé de génération d'énergie à partir d'un flux gazeux, dit initial, comprenant de la vapeur d'eau (H2O), ledit procédé comprenant une désoxydation d'au moins une partie de ladite vapeur d'eau (H2O) par passage dudit flux gazeux initial au travers d'une couche de matière à haute température, dite base thermique, comprenant essentiellement du carbone à haute température, ladite désoxydation permettant d'obtenir un premier flux gazeux comprenant de l'hydrogène (H2) obtenu par réaction de ladite vapeur d'eau (H2O) avec lesdits éléments de carbone. Le flux initial peut être un flux gazeux ayant servi au traitement d'une charge de bois (Bl). L'hydrogène (H2) obtenu, constitue une source d'énergie et, peut ensuite être utilisé pour produire de l'énergie par des moyens tels qu'une chaudière à gaz, une turbine à gaz, une pile à combustible, un moteur à gaz, un turboalternateur(TAV), etc.
