The invention relates to a method of grafting unsaturated carboxylic acid derivatives onto thermoplastic polymers, which comprises heating a mixture of thermoplastic polymer, unsaturated carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid derivative and a hydroxylamine ester having at least one structural unit of formula (I) or (I') wherein X is hydrogen, C1-C36alkyl, C2-C36alkenyl, C2- C18alkynyl, C6-C10aryl, -O-C1-C18alkyl -O-C6-C10aryl, -NH-C1-C18alkyl, -NH-C6- C10aryl, -N(C1-C6alkyl)2; X' is a direct bond or C1-C36alkylene, C2- C36alkenylene, C2-C36alkynylene, -(C1-C6alkylene)-phenyl-(C1-C6alkylene) or a group in a processing apparatus for thermoplastic polymers, to above the softening point/melting point of the thermoplastic polymer and allowing the components of the mixture to react with one another.
L'invention concerne un procédé de greffage de dérivés d'acide carboxylique éthyliquement insaturés sur des polymères thermoplastiques, qui consiste à chauffer un mélange de polymères thermoplastiques, d'acide carboxylique insaturé ou de dérivé d'acide carboxylique insaturé et un ester d'hydroxylamine possédant au moins une unité structurale représentée par les formules (I) ou (I'), dans lesquelles X représente hydrogène, un groupe alkyle C¿1-?C¿36?, un groupe alcényle C¿2-?C¿36?, un groupe alcynyle C¿2?-C¿18?, un groupe aryle C¿6?-C¿10?, un groupe alkyle -O-C¿1-?C¿18?, un groupe aryle -O-C¿6-?C¿10?, un groupe alkyle -NH-C¿1?-C¿18?, un groupe aryle -NH-C¿6?-C¿10?, -N(C¿1?-C¿6?alkyle)¿2?, X' représente une liaison directe ou un groupe alcoylène C¿1?-C¿36?, un groupe alcénylène C¿2?-C¿36?, un groupe alkynylène C¿2?-C¿36?, -(C¿1?-C¿6?alkylène)-phényl-(C¿1?-C¿6?alkylène), ou un groupe représenté par une des formules (I''), dans un appareil de traitement pour polymères thermoplastiques, à une température supérieure au point de ramollissage/point de fusion du polymère thermoplastique, et à permettre que les composants du mélange réagissent les uns avec les autres.
