In design it is often important to analyze flow problems. Such flow problems arecommonly analyzed using grids A method of generating such grids is described wherein a first grid and reference scalars are provided. The values at nodes within the first grid are calculated and compared with the reference values. The nodes on the first grid are moved until the values calculated and the reference scalars are within predetermined tolerances. Such a method is useful in grid boundary evaluation and modification as well as in grid adaptation.

En conception, il est souvent important d'analyser les problèmes de flux. Ces problèmes de flux sont souvent analysés à l'aide de grilles. Une méthode pour générer de telles grilles est décrite dans laquelle une première grille et des diagrammes de référence sont fournis.
