The invention provides a method of growing plants in a non-fibrous growth substrate, the method comprises providing at least one non-fibrous growth substrate comprising wetting agent, positioning one or more plants for growth in the growth substrate, characterised in that the wetting agent comprises ionic surfactant and the non-fibrous growth substrate is selected from the group consisting of urea formaldehyde foam, perlite, vermiculite, expanded clay, coco chips, coco dust, lava, pumice and mixtures thereof.

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de cultiver des plantes dans un substrat de croissance non fibreux. Le procédé consiste à : disposer d'au moins un substrat de croissance non fibreux contenant un agent mouillant; et placer une ou plusieurs plantes à cultiver dans le substrat de croissance. Le procédé se caractérise en ce que l'agent mouillant contient un surfactant ionique et le substrat de croissance non fibreux est sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par de la mousse d'urée formaldéhyde, une perlite, une vermiculite, de l'argile expansée, des éclats de coco, de la poussière de coco, de la lave, de la pierre ponce et leurs mélanges.
