ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A method of and arrangement for guiding a cast strand that is extracted from the mould, wherein pairs of driving rollers and pairs of supporting rollers are arranged alternatingly where the strand is horizontally guided and wherein form-locking connection means are provided for the supporting rollers arranged opposite each other, which connection means can be released for freeing the upper supporting rollers from load which can be lifted away from the strand.
