A springback occurrence cause identifying method comprising a press-forming analyzing step of numerically analyzing the press-forming condition of press forming and acquiring forming data on a press-formed product, a computing step of computing at least one item of data on the physical properties and physical quantities of a partial region of the press-formed product out of the forming data, and a springback amount calculating step of calculating the amount of springback by using the results of the computation.
