ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An arrangement for identifying the correct cavity of a multiple cavity electrical connector to which -to attach electrical leads during the assembly of the connector. A first end of each of plural leads to be coupled to the connector is attached to a corresponding cavities of a first connector, while leaving the second end of each lead remains free for connection to a second connector. The first connector is coupled to a touch sensing device which responds to an operator touching any of the free ends. The touch sensing device causes a light beam to be generated that is guided to the particular cavity in the second connector to which electrical connection with the touched lead is to be made. By illuminating the correct cavity in the second connector, the operator can see which of the plural cavities to make connection in.
