A b s t r a c t A Method of Impregnating Hard Substances with Liquid Binding Agents and Use thereof A method of impregnating a mixture of granular or powdery hard substances with liquid binding agents or binding agents which are liquefiable on heating is characterised in that during the operation whereby the hard substances are mixedin the mixing chamber, a vacuum is produced and the liquid binding agent is added under vacuum conditions to the agitated material to be mixed. This method is expediently used to produce starting mixtures for the production of electrodes or carbon brushes or to produce mixtures of hydraulic binding agents with admixture substances.
