A multi-layer article comprising a substrate and a dehydrofluorinated fluoropolymer, wherein the dehydrofluorinated polymer contains substantially no grafted adhesion-promoting groups, and the dehydrofluorinated fluoropolymer contains sufficient carbon-carbon unsaturation to increase the adhesion between the dehydrofluorinated fluoropolymer and the hydrocarbon substrate.
