ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This specification is directed to a method of improving the adhesion of a polyvinylbutyral material to a surface of a glass sheet which has a coating thereon such as a transparent and electrically conductive coating. The method includes subjecting a surface of the polyvinylbutyral material to an exposure of UV light. The UV exposed surface of the polyvinylbutyral material is bonded to the surface of the glass sheet having the transparent and electrically conductive coating thereon in a bonding operation employing heat and pressure.
