It is intended to provide a hybrid plant having a high fertility and a method of constructing this hybrid plant. Namely, a hybrid plant characterized by having 2 copies or more fertility restoration genes on 2 or more loci having no complete linkage relationship to each other; and a method which comprises transferring fertility restoration genes with the use of genetic engineering techniques and thus locating 2 copies or more fertility restoration genes on 2 or more loci having no complete linkage relationship to each other.

Cette invention vise à produire une plante hybride ayant une fertilité élevée et propose un procédé de production de plantes hybrides. Une telle plante hybride se caractérise en ce qu'elle comporte au moins deux copies de gènes restaurateurs de la fertilité sur au moins deux emplacements n'ayant pas de relation de liaison complète entre eux ; ainsi qu'un procédé consistant à transférer ces gènes restaurateurs de la fertilité par génie génétique et à localiser ainsi au moins deux copies de gènes restaurateurs de la fertilité sur au moins deux emplacements n'ayant pas de relation de liaison complète entre eux.
