The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for increasing serum levels of testosterone in a mammal in need of treatment which composition comprises an effective amount of a compound of formula I (see fig. I) (I) wherein R1 and R~ may be the same or different provided that, when R1 and R~ are the same, each is a methyl or ethyl group, and, when R1 and R~ are different, one of them is a methyl or ethyl group and the other is hydrogen or a benzyl group; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, together with a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent or carrier.

Composition pharmaceutique pour augmenter les concentrations sériques de testostérone chez un mammifère nécessitant un traitement. La composition renferme une quantité efficace : d'un composé de formule I (voir fig. I), où R1 et R2 peuvent être les mêmes ou différents, à condition que, si R1 et R2 sont les mêmes, chacun est un méthyle ou un éthyle, et si R1 et R2 sont différents, l'un est un méthyle ou un éthyle et l'autre de l'hydrogène ou un benzyle; ou d'un sel correspondant, acceptable en pharmacie, avec un diluant ou un véhicule, acceptable lui aussi en pharmacie.
