ABSTRACT A method of jacking up a vehicle having double wheels by means of a jack having a strut passing at a slope into the clearance space between the tyres of the double wheels and engaging simultaneously with the bosses of both wheels. The jack also has a base engaging with the ground. Jacking of the vehicle takes place by displacing the vehicle to cause the double wheels to ride up onto the strut in pole vault fashion to lift them clear of the ground.
