A method of maintaining a color of a cured film formed from a coating composition on a metal substrate relative to a standard comprises the steps of providing a resin, providing a pigment, combining the pigment and the resin to form the coating composition, applying the coating composition to the metal substrate, curing the coating composition to form the cured film having a color defined by an L value, an a value, and a b value, and maintaining the color relative to the standard having an Ls value, an as value, and a bs value whereby the L value, the a value, and the b value each change less than 20% respectively as compared to the L5 value, the as value, and the bs value of the standard. The cured film has a solar reflectance of greater than or equal to 0.75 in the wavelength from 250-2,500 nm.
La présente invention concerne un procédé consistant à maintenir une couleur d'un film durci formé à partir d'une composition de revêtement sur un substrat métallique par rapport à un standard comprenant les étapes consistant à fournir une résine, à fournir à un pigment, à combiner le pigment et la résine afin de former la composition de revêtement, à appliquer la composition de revêtement sur le substrat métallique, à durcir la composition de revêtement afin de former le film durci ayant une couleur définie par une valeur L, une valeur a, et une valeur b, et à maintenir la couleur par rapport au standard ayant une valeur Ls, une valeur as, et une valeur bs moyennant quoi la valeur L, la valeur a, et la valeur b changent chacune de moins de 20 % respectivement par comparaison à la valeur Ls, la valeur as, et la valeur bs du standard. Le film durci présente un facteur de réflexion supérieur ou égal à 0,75 dans la gamme de longueurs d'onde allant de 250 à 2 500 nm.
