A method of maintaining a matrix (1) of bolometer-type detectors comprises a heating of certain detectors to a threshold temperature. The heating is done by supplying resisted detection elements with electric currents, and the threshold temperature is determined for each detector according to a measurement that is performed previously on this detector.
