A B S T R A C T A method of making a plastic, shell-shaped article such as a mold for a refrigerator cabinet complete with insulation therein by heating a mold to a temperature above room temperature, and at said temperature providing a curable mixture of monomers or thermosetting resins in a liquid form which loses its ability for gravity flow in less than two minutes, supplying the mixture to the mold and tilting the mold once, thereby causing the material mixture mass to flow and spread over all of the inner surfaces of the mold due to gravity, and thereafter removing the object from the mold after it hardens to a substantially rigid body.
