A B S T R A C T A method of making a reinforced tubular article such as a hose comprises applying to a polymeric inner liner (e.g. of rubber or plastics) at least one reinforcement layer (e.g. of metal braid) and then immersing the resulting reinforced tube in liquid elastomer-forming reaction mixture to impregnate fully the layers or layer by fillng the interstices thereof. The method is suitable for the production of hydraulic hose.
