ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of making endless power transmission belts each having a plurality of longitudinally extending ribs is provided. The method employs a collapsible, reusable, tubular matrix sleeve, to define a belt sleeve, which belt sleeve is then cut to define a plurality of the belts, each belt having the longitudinally extending ribs. Because the collapsible tubular matrix sleeve is reusable, the manufacture of these endless power transmission belts can be carried out comparatively inexpensively. Moreover, endless power transmission belts can be made in which the longitudinally extending ribs may be V-shaped, or U-shaped, or any other desired shape.
