To provide a method of making a film of organic material excellent in moisture barrier property and/or oxygen barrier property and also to provide an electronic device excellent in long term stability, in which the film obtained by such film making method is utilized to form a protective film for protecting an electronic device, and particularly an organic electronic device, to avoid deterioration of the performance, which would otherwise be brought about by moisture and oxygen in the atmosphere. The film is formed by depositing and solidifying, on a substrate, an evaporant formed by irradiating a liquid crystal polymer capable of exhibiting an optical anisotropy with pulsed laser.

Il est prévu un procédé de fabrication d'un film de matériau organique aux excellentes propriétés de protection contre l'humidité et/ou de protection contre l'oxygène ; et un dispositif électronique évitant la baisse des performances par l'humidité de l'air et l'oxygène, présentant une excellente stabilité à long terme, lequel dispositif électronique s'obtient en incorporant le film produit par le procédé ci-dessus dans un dispositif électronique, en utilisant spécialement le film comme film de protection dans un dispositif organo-électronique. Le procédé est caractérisé en ce que l'on irradie un polymère à cristaux liquides présentant une anisotropie optique, par laser pulsé pour jouer sur la formation d'évaporation, pour obtenir un produit d'évaporation, et l'on dépose le produit d'évaporation sur un substrat, avant de le solidifier.
