A formable prepreg, and a method of making a formable prepreg by a pultrusion process. The method includes (a) impregnating reinforcing fiber with a termosetting resin matrix, and (b) passing the resin impregnated reinforcing fiber through a die within which the resin impregnated reinforcing fiber is subjected to conditions sufficient to thicken the thermosetting resin matrix, to provide a formable prepreg. The present invention also provides a method of making a molded article using the prepreg of the present invention.

Pré-imprégné pouvant être façonné et son procédé de fabrication par pultrusion. Ce procédé consiste à (a) imprégner des fibres de renforcement avec une matrice de résine thermodurcissable et (b) à faire passer les fibres imprégnées de résine à travers une filière dans laquelle les fibres sont soumises à des conditions permettant d'épaissir la matrice de résine, de manière à obtenir un pré-imprégné pouvant être façonné. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication d'un article moulé au moyen dudit pré-imprégné.
