ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of making rubber connectors and other rubber parts for use in human infusion sets and products produced thereby and novel compositions, such compositions comprising by weight a major amount of rubber selected from the group consisting of natural rubber and synthetic natural rubber and mixtures thereof, the novel composition further comprising by weight a minor amount of a high density polyolefin and a filler, the composition being capable of being cured with an effective amount of a peroxide curing agent to achieve cross- linking of the rubber and the high density polyolefin. the method includes bringing together of the foregoing components except the peroxide in a vigorous mixing action except the peroxide. The components are mixed together so that they become highly dispersed in one another. The peroxide is preferably added just prior to curing.
