The invention describes a low temperature method for producing multi-layered or multi-phased coatings. With the technique according to the present invention, surface coatings with controlled variations in terms of chemical composition, phase composition, porosity, surface roughness, mechanical properties, biocompatibility, etc can be achieved. The method of coating a substrate surface comprising the steps of preparing one powder mixture, or several powder mixtures having different chemical composition, wherein at least one of said powder mixtures comprise a non-hydrated hydraulic ceramic powder binder phase, pre-treating a substrate surface, to increase the adhesion between the substrate and the ceramic coating, applying one or more different layers on top of each other of the non-hydrated powder mixture on the substrate, and finally, hydrating the powder layer/layers in a curing agent containing ions of carbonates, phosphates or fluorides.
L'invention concerne un procédé à basse température destiné à former des revêtements multicouches ou multiphases. La technique de la présente invention permet d'obtenir des revêtements de surface présentant des variations régulées en termes de composition chimique, de composition de phase, de porosité, de rugosité de surface, de propriétés mécaniques, de biocompatibilité, etc. Le procédé de revêtement d'une surface de substrat consiste à préparer un mélange en poudre ou plusieurs mélanges en poudre présentant une composition chimique différente, l'un au moins desdits mélanges en poudre renfermant une phase de liant en poudre céramique hydraulique non hydratée, à prétraiter une surface de substrat en vue d'augmenter l'adhésion entre le substrat et le revêtement céramique, à appliquer une ou plusieurs couches différentes, les unes sur les autres, du mélange en poudre non hydraté sur le substrat, puis à hydrater la ou les couches de poudre dans un agent de durcissement contenant des ions de carbonates, de phosphates ou de fluorures.
