ABSTRACT In a method of manufacturing a composite component an outer shell is shrunk onto a ceramic inner member. In order to achieve a uniform heating of the outer shell and to be able to position the inner member within the outer shell in a still uniformly heated state of the outer shell, the outer shell is heated by means of inductive heating. The inner member is then introduced into the heated outer shell and positioned in it. The composite component is fixed by subsequent cooling.
