Abstract In a method of manufacturing a cut-off mown-material carpet, the carpet is advanced through a processing nip 22 between two powered rollers 4 and 5 that rotate in opposite direc- tions and have matching elevations 13 and 14 and depressions 15 and 16 in their surface, buckling the carpet. The carpet is advanced through the nip at different speeds at each surf ace of the carpet.
