ABSTRACT: The invention relates to a method of manu- facturing a metallized plastic reflector. According to the invention, a convex surface of a mould is provided with a film or fabric of fibres, preferably glass fibres, which is just saturated with a thermohardening synthetic resin. A suitable synthetic resin is polyester resin. After partial hardening, a metal layer is provided on the glass fibre- synthetic resin layer by means of a spraying process. A supporting layer consisting of a fibrous material-reinforced thermohardening synthetic resin is provided on the metal layer. After hardening the mould is finally removed. -16-
