A method of affixing a shaving aid element (38, 42) to a razor (10) is disclosed, which includes the step of extruding the shaving aid element to form a strand (50) of shaving aid material. The strand is then rolled onto a continuous spool (48) for storage. During assembly, the strand is fed to an ultrasonic welder/cutter (62) for cutting the strand into a predetermined length and for welding the shaving aid element to a razor. The strand may be cold worked using rollers (54A, 54B) to increase its ductility and to alter its shape prior to being cut and welded.
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de fixer à un rasoir un élément auxiliaire de rasage (38, 42). Ce procédé consiste à extruder l'élément de manière à obtenir un fil (50) en matériau d'auxiliaire de rasage. On enroule ensuite ce fil sur une bobine continue (48) afin de le conserver. Pendant le montage, on introduit le fil dans un dispositif de soudage ou de coupe à ultrasons (62) pour le couper à la longueur voulue et souder au rasoir l'élément auxiliaire de rasage. On peut façonner le fil à froid au moyen de galets (54A, 54B) afin d'en augmenter la ductilité et d'en modifier la forme avant de le couper et de le souder.
