The invention relates to a process for producing dispersions of water-soluble cationic vinyl polymers usable as process auxiliaries for separation processes, e.g. as flocullating auxiliaries, coagulants, retention agents and dewatering accelerators. The dispersions are produced by the radical homopolymerisation of cationic, hydrophobically modified vinyl monomers or their copolymerisation with water-soluble vinyl monomers in aqueous salt solutions. Block copolymers of a cationic vinyl monomer and ethylene oxide are used in this process as dispersion stabilisers.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production de dispersions de polymères vinyliques cationiques solubles dans l'eau, pouvant s'utiliser comme auxiliaires pour des processus de séparation, par ex. comme auxiliaires de floculation, agents de coagulation, agents de rétention et accélérateurs de déshydratation. Ces dispersions sont obtenues par homopolymérisation radicalaire de monomères vinyliques cationiques modifiés de manière hydrophobe ou par leur copolymérisation avec des monomères vinyliques hydrosolubles dans des solutions salines aqueuses. Les stabilisants de dispersion utilisés sont des polymères séquencés composés d'un monomère vinylique cationique et d'oxyde d'éthylène.
