Metal powders are spread on a feeding belt or a supporting sheet which is continuously fed. Then, the feeding belt or the supporting sheet on which the metal powders have been spread is passed between a pair of rolling rollers to roll them at a required strength of pressure to leave fine gaps between the metal powders adjacent to each other. Thereafter, a resulting metal sheet is passed through a sintering oven to integrate the metal powders to each other so as to form a porous metal sheet having fine pores consisting of the gaps. It is possible to spread the metal powders on the rolling roller directly or a mixture of sublimable fine fragments and the metal powders thereon. Further, it is possible to form a solid metal sheet, namely, a metal sheet having no pores formed thereon by setting the strength of pressure of the rolling roller to a high one.
La présente invention se rapporte à des poudres métalliques étalées sur une courroie d'alimentation ou sur une feuille de support en défilement continu. La courroie d'alimentation ou la feuille de support sur laquelle les poudres métalliques ont été étalées est acheminée entre une paire de rouleaux presseurs aux fins de compactage à une pression prédéterminée, de manière à laisser de fines discontinuités entre les poudres métalliques adjacentes. Par la suite, la feuille de métal ainsi produite est acheminée à travers un four de frittage aux fins d'agglomération des poudres métalliques entre elles en vue de l'obtention d'une feuille de métal poreux dont la porosité vient des discontinuités. Il est possible d'étaler les poudres métalliques ou un mélange de poudres métalliques et de fragments fins se prêtant à la sublimation directement sur les rouleau presseur. Il est aussi possible de former une feuille de métal solide, notamment une feuille de métal non poreux, en augmentant la pression exercée par les rouleaux presseurs.
