Sealed insulating glass units, with multiple-pane construction contain an intermediate, flexible heat-shrunk and taut plastic sheet, are made using a silicone edge sealant that exhibits a sheet creep of less than 0.018 cm after 500 hours at 71°C. Said plastic sheet remains substantially wrinkle free in this construction by use of silicone edge sealants.
