PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de silicium polycristallin en couche mince. Le procédé de l'inven- tion consiste à réduire un composé de silicium à l'état gazeux par le zinc à l'état liquide en présence d'au moins un métal à l'état liquide choisi dans le groupe que constituent l'étain, le plomb, l'or, l'argent, l'antimoine et le bismuth, les conditions opératoires étant choisies telles que le composé du sino formé lors de la réaction soit à l'état gazeux. Le silicium obtenu par ce procédé trouve son application notamment à la conversion photovoltalque.
