A method of and a system for minimizing undesirable brake release in the brake system of a train having a pneumatic brake on each car connected to a brake pipe which is controlled by a brake pipe controller. The method includes determining the status of the brake system throughout the train and determining a minimal brake pipe reduction for the brake pipe controller, using the status of the bake system. The determined minimal brake pipe reduction is displayed by itself or in combination with the brake pipe reduction produced by the brake pipe controller.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un système permettant de minimiser un desserrage indésirable des freins du système de freinage d'un train équipé au niveau de chaque voiture d'un système de freinage pneumatique qui est commandé par une unité de commande de la conduite de frein. Ledit procédé consiste à évaluer l'état du système de freinage sur l'ensemble du train et à déterminer une dépression minimale dans la conduite de frein pour l'unité de commande de conduite de frein en fonction de l'état du système de freinage. Cette dépression minimale déterminée de la conduite de frein est affichée seule ou en association avec la dépression de la conduite de frein produite par l'unité de commande de conduite de frein.
