A method of molding components of a shopping cart (10) using high or low pressure molding processes. Either a center channel (26), a plurality of voids (30) or both a center channel and a plurality of voids may be created in the molded components by the processes used. If hollow channels are formed in the molded components, then the plurality of voids will be formed in the walls of such molded component if both processes are used together. The processes used to form the molded components are either a gas assist process which provides a laminar stream of blowing agent into molten resin is forced into a partially filled mold or a structural foam molding process which provides a blowing agent blended into the molten resin prior to the molten resin being forced into the mold.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé de moulage des éléments d'un chariot à commission (10), qui utilise des processus de moulage haute ou basse pression. Soit un profilé en U central (26), soit plusieurs vides (30) soit encore un profilé en U central et plusieurs vides sont créés dans les éléments moulés par les processus utilisés. Si des profilés en U creux sont formés dans les éléments moulés, alors plusieurs vides vont être formés dans les parois de l'élément ainsi moulé, lorsque les deux processus sont utilisés conjointement. Les processus utilisés pour former les éléments moulés sont soit des processus assistés par gaz, qui consistent à introduire un courant laminaire d'agent gonflant dans la résine en fusion, après que celle-ci a été introduite de force dans un moule partiellement rempli, soit des processus de moulage à mousse structurelle, qui consistent à produire un agent gonflant mélangé à la résine en fusion, avant que celle-ci soit introduite de force dans le moule.
