Disclosed is a method of monitor-ing and optimizing the concentration of an addi-tive composition in a fuel ethanol. The method includes adding a known amount of the additive composition to the fuel ethanol to create a treated fuel ethanol. A measured fluorescent signal pro-vides information for determining the concentra-tion of the additive composition in the fuel ethanol. A component in the additive composi-tion is capable of providing the fluorescent signal or capable of being chemically derivatized to provide a fluorescent signal or a colorimetric sig-nal. Based upon the measured fluorescent signal or colorimetric signal, the concentration of the additive composition in the fuel ethanol may be adjusted.
Procédé de surveillance et d'optimisation de la concentration d'additif dans du carburant éthanol. Ce procédé consiste à ajouter une quantité connue d'une composition d'additif au carburant éthanol pour obtenir du carburant éthanol traité. Un signal fluorescent dosé fournit des informations pour la détermination de la concentration de la composition d'additif dans le carburant. Dans la composition d'additif elle-même, un composant fournit un signal fluorescent ou peut être "dérivatisé" chimiquement dans le but de générer un signal fluorescent ou colorimétrique. A partir du signal fluorescent ou du signal colorimétrique mesurés, il est possible d'ajuster la concentration de l'additif dans le carburant éthanol.
