ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for mounting a toilet bowl to a flange having peripheral openings. This method is comprised of the following steps. Firstly, clamp a flange between a body with a threaded internal bore positioned on top of the flange in alignment with one of the peripheral openings of the flange and a bolt having a stub shaft extending through the selected one of the peripheral openings and threadedly secured in one end of the threaded internal bore. Secondly, a threaded shaft is threadedly engaged in an opposed end of the internal bore such that the threaded shaft extends upwardly to the desired height with any excess length being telescopically received within the internal bore.
