A track mounting for a vehicle and a method of mounting the same, includes an upper track assembly having a drive roller securable to an axle of a vehicle, such that rotation of the axle results in rotation of the drive roller. A lower track assembly is provided having at least two driven rollers in spaced apart relation. The driven rollers form a triangular track supporting configuration with the drive roller. An arcuate bearing surface is positioned on the lower track assembly. The arcuate bearing surface is radiused relative to a centroid of the axle supporting the drive roller. A bearing assembly is provided that is engagable with the arcuate bearing surface. The bearing assembly includes at least one supporting member with an attachment end whereby the bearing assembly is affixed to the vehicle below and in spaced relation to the axle. This track mounting allows for a range of pivotal movement of approximately 30 degrees in either direction.
