Provided is a method and system for transmitting information. The method includes determining stream length information for at least one data stream to be transmitted and associating the stream length information with a system parameter message. The system parameter message including the associated stream length information is transmitted separately from the data stream. This process facilitates de-multiplexing of individual streams and the processing of stream data even if one or more individual streams are received in error.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système de transmission de données. Le procédé consiste à déterminer des informations de longueur de flux pour au moins un flux de données à transmettre, puis à associer lesdites informations de longueur de flux à un message paramétrique du système. Le message paramétrique du système comprenant les informations de longueur de flux associées est transmis séparément du flux de données. Le procédé facilite le démultiplexage de flux individuels et le traitement de données de flux même si un ou plusieurs flux individuels sont reçus par erreur.
