A method of operating a compressor having a row of blades for preventing a compressor stall is disclosed, the method comprising the steps of mounting a plasma generator in a casing or a shroud radially outwardly and apart from the blade tips wherein the plasma generator comprises a radially inner electrode and a radially outer electrode separated by a dielectric material; and supplying an AC potential to the radially inner electrode and the radially outer electrode.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fonctionnement d'un compresseur doté d'une rangée d'aubes conçues pour éviter un calage du compresseur. Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : montage d'un générateur de plasma dans un carter ou une enveloppe de façon radiale vers l'extérieur et à distance des extrémités des aubes, ledit générateur de plasma comprenant une électrode radialement externe et une électrode radialement externe séparées par un matériau diélectrique ; et fourniture d'un potentiel de courant alternatif à l'électrode radialement interne et l'électrode radialement externe.
