A method of operating a downhole shut-in tool defining a low pressure zone therein and having a shut-in valve to control flow of the well fluid through a production tubing string. The method comprises closing the shut-in valve by application thereto of a force generated by a pressure differential between the low pressure zone and well pressure in the production tubing string.

Méthode d'utilisation d'un outil de fermeture de fond délimitant une zone de basse pression et possédant une vanne de fermeture pour régler l'écoulement du fluide dans le puits par la colonne de tubes de production. La méthode consiste à fermer la vanne de fermeture en appliquant sur elle une force produite par une pression différentielle entre la zone de basse pression et la pression de formation dans la colonne de tubes de production.
