Abstract: METHOD OF OXIDIZING TERTIARY-ALKYL PHOSPHINES Tertiary-alkyl phosphines, such as tris-(3-hy- droxypropyl) phosphine may be oxidized by heating in the presence of water and between about 0.1 and about 10% by weight of an acid catalyst at a temperature above about 100°C.
