Disclosed is an economical method of efficiently oxygenating yeast slurry without bubble formation. The method employs a membrane oxygenator comprising at least one hydrophobic, microporous membrane having a gas side and a liquid side. The yeast slurry flows over the liquid side of the membrane; oxygen is delivered to the gas side of the membrane and passes through the pores to the yeast slurry.
L'invention concerne un procédé économique d'oxygénation efficace d'une suspension de levure sans formation de bulle. Le procédé comprend un oxygénateur à membrane comportant au moins une membrane hydrophobe, microporeuse présentant un côté gaz et un côté liquide. La suspension de levure s'écoule dans le côté liquide de la membrane; l'oxygène est libéré dans le côté gaz de la membrane et passe à travers les pores de la suspension de levure.
