Abstract In a motor part package, a plurality of identical solid and rigid foamed urethane enclosure members include a heavy flat base and a plurality of side-by-side and longitudinally extended recesses separated by substantial solid sidewalls with an encircling sidewall. Each recess complements one half of a stator unit or rotor unit of a hermetic fractional and integral horsepower motor such that two supports in opposed relation form a total enclosure. Urethane spacers between the unit and the end wall firmly hold the unit against axial movement. The filled enclosures are arranged in layers and the layers are stacked. An outer tubular cardboard shell and cup-shaped end caps enclose the layers of enclosures. Bands secure the assembly together on a pallet for shipment and subse- quent motor assembly. A shrink-wrap film encloses the stacked layers and pallet to protectively enclose the package for handling. The receiver removes the shrink- wrap and bands. The outer housing parts are removed for reuse as are the urethane enclosure elements.
