A Universal Method for packing large sized items and the device for its implementation have been developed to ensure packing the items of any sizes and shapes and to reduce the packing cost through crate elements repeated usage. The drawings of the device and the technology of the method are proved in 10 minutes. The device is a set of metal elements. Depending on the size and shape of the packed item the necessary elements are chosen of the set. To speed up packing and unpacking these necessary elements are assembled in unit assemblies that are used many times. Then the crate sized as needed is assembled of unit assemblies. The bottom of the crate is attached to the lower part of the item. It takes less than 2 hours to pack large sized items. In order to ship the crate back to manufacturer unit assemblies are placed on the bottom of the crate, then a lid is adjusted on the top and shields are adjusted on all 4 sides. If while improving the construction of the item its width,length or height are being changed then the change of definite elements of unit assemblies will ensure their usage in future.
